Q. How did Lighthouse Christian Church (LCC) get started?
A. LCC was “planted” by its mother church, Faith Bible Church of Seattle. FBC realized a need for a church on the Eastside, and began researching and planning for it about 3 years before it actually started. LCC had its grand opening on February 4, 2001.

Q. Why was LCC started?
A. Although we recognized a need for another church on the Eastside, we felt strongly that there was a need for a church that would specifically reach out to the unreached—that is, those who are not currently attending a church, may have never even been to a church before, and may even have some reservations about going to church. LCC was designed to be a place where you could “come as you are”, wherever you are on your spiritual journey, yet still see God at work.

Q. What is the mission of Lighthouse?
A. Our mission is to share God’s grace and truth so that people come to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. This mission is supported by ten core values which can be summed up as follows: we want God to be seen, people to feel loved, and lives to be changed into the likeness of Christ.

Q. Has LCC always met at Phantom Lake Elementary School?
A. No, in fact, Phantom Lake Elementary is our fifth home!  LCC first met at The International School in Bellevue, but soon outgrew our original site. We then moved to Newport High School in September 2001. After outgrowing Newport, we moved to Issaquah High on August 18, 2002.  Issaquah High was undergoing a renovation and we moved to Tillicum Middle School on July 6, 2008 and finally to Phantom Lake Elementary School on October 5, 2008.

Q. What denomination does LCC belong to?
A. Like our sponsoring church, we are non-denominational church and thus are not associated with any particular denomination.
