Come join us for some crafty fun and fellowship! You will create your very own Kokedama, a style of Japanese Bonsai, where a plant’s root system is wrapped in moss and bound with string, transforming it into a living sculpture. Loosely translated, ‘koke’ means moss and ‘dama’ means ball. Cost includes all the materials to make one kokedama (except the plant) and a Japanese lunch will be provided. Please bring your own indoor plant of choice (succulent, bonsai, houseplant, etc) Cost: $20 per person

DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) – Lighthouse is providing an opportunity for ‘Dreamers’ to renew their DACA status before the Oct 5 deadline. On Mon Oct 2 from 7:00-8:30pm at the Lighthouse Center, staff, including an immigration attorney will be available to answer questions and assist with the reapplication process. We'll be going to FLEE Redmond (its an Escape Room), where we'll work through a few riddles and see if we can ESCAPE the room! So we'll be having the event on Saturday, Sept. 2nd. There will be 3 different time slots to go to: 3PM, 4PM, or 5PM. You can select your availability in the form. And the cost for the event is $20. The Lighthouse family will be joining together to serve the staff and teachers at Phantom Lake Elementary School as they prepare for the new school year.
