Day 29 - Ephesians 3:16-19


Ephesians 3:16-19

16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Paul prayed for his fellow believers in the midst of trials and persecution. He reassured them of the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives. The more they could grasp “how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,” the more they would be empowered to live fully for God.

When we align ourselves with God, we gain access into an abundance of heavenly resources. Most of all, we receive the Holy Spirit, Christ’s very presence dwelling within us. The Holy Spirit enables us to hear God’s voice, to understand Scripture, and be reminded of what is good and true. Most of all we are able to grasp by faith, the fullness and reality of God’s love for us.

What can happen when you ask the Holy Spirit to help you be “rooted and established” in God’s love?
